Welcome to WREN
Wildlife Rescue and Emergency Network for North Northamtonshire
WREN coordinates wildlife welfare cases and supports the public as first point of contact
WREN supports people when they encounter wildlife and are unsure what to do.
We provide clear advice, help assess situations, and coordinate practical support where needed. This may include arranging transport and connecting with veterinary practices and wildlife rehabilitators. Our aim is simple: to make sure animals receive the right care, and that people feel confident in how to respond.

What we do
Wildlife Rescue and Emergency Coordination
We act as a first point of contact, helping assess situations and guide appropriate action.

Advice and Triage
We help determine whether intervention is needed or whether the situation is part of normal wildlife behaviour.

Transport and Care Pathways
We help coordinate transport and connect with vets and wildlife rehabilitators.

Education and Community
We deliver practical education that helps people respond appropriately to wildlife situations.

WREN coordinates support. We do not replace vets or wildlife rehabilitators, we help ensure animals reach them.
Modern conservation is not only about preserving ecosystems, but about protecting the individual lives within them
